Yellowstone by Tesla
The world’s oldest national park is also one of the most interesting for EVs: Yellowstone operates 9 free Level 2 charging stations inside the park. You experience geysers, hot springs, and bison herds emission-free — and quieter than any V8.

The highlights
Old Faithful erupts roughly every 90 minutes; Grand Prismatic Spring is most spectacular from the Fairy Falls overlook; at Mammoth Hot Springs you walk across travertine terraces. For wildlife, Lamar and Hayden Valley at dawn are unbeatable — bison, wolves, and with luck grizzlies.
Charging in and around the park
Yellowstone is one of the few genuine EV planning challenges in the USA — which is exactly what our strategy is for: enter with a full battery (Level 2 chargers in West Yellowstone), use the 9 free in-park stations, and the AI app plans each day’s legs around the charging windows.
On our Rocky Mountain route, the Laramie and Rock Springs Superchargers secure the approach from Denver.
Camping in Yellowstone
Grant Village ($32/night, reservation required) is central — geysers, springs, and Yellowstone Lake are within easy reach. Food belongs in the closed trunk, never in the tent: this is bear country.
