From late May to mid-October a timed-entry system applies (recreation.gov). Our concierge books the slots to match your route.

Effortlessly — electric motors lose no power at altitude (unlike combustion engines), and regeneration recharges the battery downhill. With a full battery from Estes Park, the crossing is relaxed.

Weather-depending, roughly late May to mid-October — the high section closes in winter. The park’s east side (Bear Lake, Moraine Park) is accessible year-round.

Moraine Park and Horseshoe Park at dawn and dusk — in fall (September/October) the bulls bugle during the rut, Colorado’s most spectacular wildlife show.

The 7-day Rocky Mountain Route starts in Denver and reaches the park on days 1–2 before continuing to Grand Teton and Yellowstone.
